Biography
Director Steven Downes was appointed to the DFMC board in November 2013. Steven is a fourth generation dairy farmer at Jamberoo on the South Coast of New South Wales and is currently building his herd of 120 milkers. Before taking over his family’s dairy business in 2010, he worked at Macquarie Bank and National Australia Bank where he specialised in currency markets and agribusiness. He has a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Sydney and is currently undertaking an Advanced Diploma in Agribusiness Management from the National Centre for Dairy Education Australia.
