Biography

Nikki Phillips is the Deputy Head of School, Director of Undergraduate Studies and the Course Director for the Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing (Clinical Leadership) and combined degree courses in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Deakin University. Nikki joined the School of Nursing and Midwifery in May 2009. Prior to this Nikki had over 15 years experience in facilitating the learning of both undergraduate and post-graduate nursing students in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Bhutan. Nikki has significant experience in problem-based student learning and inquiry-based learning methods. Nikki is committed to quality nursing courses that incorporate evidence-based practice, person-centred care, quality and risk management and improving patient outcomes.
