Biography
John founded Delta Hydraulics in 1975 and has led the company's innovation, engineering and sales since its inception and grown the company into an international operation with 17,000 m2 of advanced manufacturing plants on two continents with over 2,000 customers in 30 countries. John, a self-taught engineer, is an innovator with numerous hydraulic innovation credits to his name including the development of unitary manufacture of telescopic stages as well as a range of engineered product innovations in both telescopic and rod cylinders. He applies his innovation and engineering precision to his other business interests and his hobby of high performance motorsport. John is also the Managing Director of White Hot Industries, owner of White Sands Estate, Iron House Brewery, Iron House Distillery and IronHouse Vineyard on Tasmania's east coast and Managing Director of White Hot Motorsport and White Hot Marine. Between 1985 and 2012 John served as a Director of the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, including three years as President. Between 2011 and 2013 John was a Director of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of its Workplace Relations Committee. John enjoys ocean fishing and motorsport and is a five-time winner of Targa Tasmania one of the world's most prestigious tarmac rallies.
