Kevin T. Foley

Biography

Dr. Foley is a practicing neurosurgeon and active entrepreneur who has revolutionized minimally invasive spine surgery. Currently, Dr. Foley is the Director of Complex Spine Surgery at Semmes-Murphey Neurologic & Spine Institute and a Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Tennessee. He has authored over 30 book chapters and more than 100 journal publications, and lectured at more than 200 scientific meetings and educational workshops. He holds 150 patents for surgical devices and methods. Dr. Foley received his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1979. He served in the United States Army Medical Corps until 1992, culminating in service as the Chief of Neurosurgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
