Biography
Dr Andre Mu has a doctoral degree from The University of Melbourne in interdisciplinary sciences, including molecular microbiology and microbial ecology. Andre’s research interests include understanding the key role the microbiome of hospital ecosystems play in the persistence, and transmission, of hospital acquired infections. Andre utilises a wide array of culture-dependent and -independent techniques, including high-throughput genomics (metagenomic analyses), bioinformatic analyses, bacterial physiology assays, and in situ sampling to answer research questions.
