Biography
Dr Ding Oh’s scientific career began with a Bachelor of Science followed by an Honours degree in virology working on alternative ways to improve isolation of the influenza virus. He continued his PhD in immunology at Monash University, studying the immunomodulatory effect of adult stem cells on multiple sclerosis. He completed his first postdoctoral training in the Department of Immunology, Monash University before taking up a position in the World Health Organisation (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Reference and Research in Influenza. His research focuses on understanding the effectiveness and mechanism of actions of influenza antivirals, and the correlation between in vitro and in vivo susceptibility of drug susceptible and resistant viruses.
