Biography
Helen Cain is a Teaching Specialist in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. Helen is responsible for subject and practical class coordination and teaching of microbiology to undergraduate Bachelor of Biomedicine and Bachelor of Science students, as well as in post-graduate courses in Optometry and Medicine. Helen worked in diagnostic microbiology at the Fairfield Infectious Diseases Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital before becoming involved in microbiology education through the teaching of tertiary practical microbiology classes. Her educational research interests include the optimisation of student learning through the use of ICT to enhance the provision of feedback.
