Biography
Laura Anne Thomas is the Project Officer for the WHO Collaborating Centre for Viral Hepatitis, and a researcher in the Law and Public Health Team at the Centre for Health Policy at The University of Melbourne. In her role at the WHO Collaborating Centre for Viral Hepatitis, she assists with the administrative duties of the Centre and coordinates internal Centre responses to WHO requests and related activities. She also conducts research looking at the legal and ethical issues surrounding viral hepatitis in Australia in collaboration with researchers at Georgetown University. She has also undertaken a range of research in healthcare leadership and governance, identifying hot spots of risk to help improve the quality and safety of health care, and monitoring and benchmarking healthcare services and outcomes.
