Biography
Dr Nichollas Scott’s research interest focuses on the application of mass spectrometry (MS) to understand bacterial systems. Nick attained his Bachelor of Science at the University of Sydney, and in 2006 was awarded first class Honours and the University Medal. During his graduate studies also at the University of Sydney (2007 to 2011), Nick focused on the utilisation of multiple MS approaches to characterise and understand Campylobacter jejuni protein glycosylation system. Nick joined the Hartland group in 2016 and with the support of a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) New Investigator grant aims to expand his work on bacterial glycosylation and its role in pathogenesis.
