Biography
Dr Sidonia Eckle graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the Technical University of Munich in 2006, with a Masters of Science in Molecular Cell Biology from Uppsala University and the Karolinska Institute in 2007, and with a PhD in Immunology under Professor James McCluskey from the University of Melbourne in 2013. Upon completion of her PhD, Sidonia continued in James’ laboratory as a postdoctoral researcher. In 2014 and 2015, Sidonia was also an intern in the University of Melbourne’s Commercial department as part of the ‘Molecules to Medicine’ professional development program for biomedical early career scientists, sponsored by the Victorian government. Sidonia organises monthly MAIT cell workshops involving laboratories at the University of Melbourne and Monash University.
