Biography
Dr Tim Spelman is a biostatistician with 16 years’ experience, having worked with a variety of national and international research organisations including MSBase, the Burnet Institute, Monash University’s Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, the Victorian Infectious Diseases Service, Médecins Sans Frontières, the United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, Flinders University, the Australian Bureau of Statistics and Deakin University. He has over 100 publications in infectious disease, immunology, multiple sclerosis, neurology, population health and virology. He is also a practicing General Practitioner. He has presented research at several international conferences and workshops and run statistical training courses for researchers and clinicians in Australia, South Africa, Zambia and Botswana.
