Biography
I work across a range of projects at Edge, focused mainly on resource recovery, industrial ecology and the circular economy. I work with owners and operators of both small and medium sized businesses and large multinational enterprises to create innovative solutions to waste streams and establish links with other businesses in the industrial ecology network. The most rewarding part of my job is interacting with members of the community, educating them about recycling and waste-reduction practices, and inspiring them to get involved by understanding that small behavioural changes can help catalyse large social movements. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of San Diego in California and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Sydney. I combine these two disciplines to help clients realise that sustainable business practices are often the most financially viable ones. Working in sustainability allows me to focus my passion and enthusiasm for the natural world into an industry in which I feel I can make a significant contribution. Working with like-minded people dedicated to protecting the environment is one of the primary reasons I enjoy working at Edge. In my spare time, I enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle. I love being outdoors, whether swimming at the beach, going for a hike or spending a weekend out of Sydney and going down the coast.
