Biography
Dr Alicia Stanway is a Lecturer in the School of Business and Law. Dr Alicia Stanway is a Lecturer within the Sport, Recreation and Event Management program in the School of Business and Law. With industry expertise in event management, Alicia has been teaching in the area of sport, recreation and event management for the past decade and has worked at UniSA and ECU over this time. A unique facet of her teaching profile is travelling with students to the USA for the Sports Venues and Events Study Tour, and remaining committed to experiential learning by working alongside event management students in industry. Her research interests focus upon student engagement and experiential learning in higher education, community sport and recreation opportunities for all citizens, and the nexus between psychological contract and personality traits in the vocational sector, and has conducted a number of projects in these areas. Alicia maintains strong industry links through her teaching and research interests and is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Leisure Studies (ANZALS).
