Biography
Dr Michael Crowley is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Business and Law and a researcher at the ECU Security Research Institute. Michael was admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales in 1989 and worked in a general practice. In 1991 he was admitted as a barrister practicing extensively as defence counsel in criminal law jury trials and conducting appellate work. Michael holds an unrestricted practicing certificate from the Legal Practice Board of WA. Michael is a member of the Western Australian and New South Wales Bar Associations. Whilst practicing as a barrister in New South Wales Michael was also a lecturer in Criminal Law and Procedure, Law Extension Committee within the University of Sydney and up to 2005 was a Revising Examiner for the Legal Practitioner's Admission Board of New South Wales. In 2004, Michael was a Visiting Lecturer in Law at Chongqing Technology and Business University, Chongqing, People's Republic of China. He was the Law Course Coordinator at ECU from June 2012 to July 2013 and the Forensic Investigation Course Coordinator from 2006 to 2015.
