Biography
Michael Fahey is Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer of Energy Action Ltd. Michael joins Energy Action from AGL Energy Limited, one of Australia’s leading integrated energy utilities and an ASX50 company where his most recent role was as Head of Group Finance, leading a team of forty-five people. Michael brings with him over 6 years of energy market finance management experience having served in several finance roles at AGL since 2008 including Head of Finance Merchant Energy & Retail Energy. Prior to AGL, Michael was Chief Financial Officer at the iconic snack food brand Arnott’s, a subsidiary of Campbell’s Soup Company where he lead a team of over 30 people. Michael has over 25 years’ finance experience which includes Head of Finance and country Chief Financial Officer roles at global pharmaceutical firm Novartis both locally and offshore in Switzerland, Singapore and the UK. Michael started his career in the Audit Division at KPMG. Michael holds a Bachelor of Economics, Accounting Major and a Graduate Diploma in Superannuation Management from Macquarie University. He is also a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD).
