Biography
Erica Somogye, Senior Environmental Consultant with diversified experience in the field of contaminated land assessment, management and remediation in both the United States and Australia. In 2008, I transferred from Western New York to Melbourne, Australia to become an integral team member on a multinational oil and gas contract, responsible for the oversight and management of complex contaminated sites for retail, distribution (terminals), commercial and manufacturing facilities. Today, I am responsible for the management and delivery of environmental projects across a variety of industry sectors including site acquisition and development, waste management and environmental planning. Through the completion of project work and external training, I have developed a deep understanding of State and Commonwealth environmental regulations. I have supported EPA-accredited Auditors on multiple audits and have managed projects which have been reviewed under the Site audit schemes of four Australian states (VIC, NSW, TAS, and SA). My project management skills include excellence in time and financial management and project delivery while consistently meeting the expectations of clients, project health and safety standards and data quality objectives. I am also well versed in the management and visualisation of environmental data, having developed databases for field and laboratory data including the generation of electronic data standard operating procedures and data management flow processes.
