Biography
Mr Leschke was appointed Managing Director of Equus in September 2012. Mr Leschke is a resource and investment specialist with more than 24 years professional experience. He commenced his career as a mine geologist in the Elura zinc-lead-silver mine in central New South Wales and subsequently held a number of leadership positions in mining operations in Queensland, South Australia and Papua New Guinea. Mr Leschke then transitioned into the financial sector, specialising in mining investment, company profiling, project analysis and corporate financing while working for a number of leading Australian financial institutions, including BZW Stockbroking, Aberdeen Asset Management and SHAW Stockbroking. Mr Leschke created the private mineral resource company Equus Resources Ltd, which was acquired by Caspian Oil and Gas Ltd in August 2012 and subsequently renamed Equus Mining Limited in November 2012.
