Biography
Mr Liu joined Fortescue in 2003 and was appointed Director Sales and Marketing in 2011. As one of the earliest privately funded students coming from China, Mr Liu has spent more than 30 years in Perth, completing his post-graduate studies at the University of Western Australia. Following a venture into two-way trade and a number of investment projects in China, Mr Liu joined Fortescue from its early days in 2003. Mr Liu brings a deep understanding of Asian, particularly Chinese, culture and business practices which has assisted Fortescue in executing its strategy of long-term partnerships with the major steel mills in Asia.
