Biography
I was born in Emmerich am Rhein at the Dutch border of Germany and I started my studies with a scholarship in the “Job oriented Biotechnology” curriculum in Perugia/Italy, which was founded by 80 Universities and the European Union. This in general fantastic opportunity appeared to be an organizational catastrophe, with more cancelled lectures than given ones. So I decided to go back to Germany and start a conventional chemistry study, which turned out to be great fun and a thorough education in math, physics and of course chemistry.
