Dr Nadine Beydoun

Biography

Dr Beydoun is a Fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (Faculty of Radiation Oncology). She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine from the University of New South Wales in 2004. Her interest in Oncology commenced during her years as a medical officer at Bankstown Hospital, which propelled her to complete her training in radiation oncology at the St George Hospital. She then undertook her subspecialty training in genitourinary cancer and brachytherapy at the St George Hospital Prostate cancer Institute (2012, 2013), with completion of hundreds of prostate brachytherapy implants, and publications on the use of Iodine-125 thinseeds, exercise intervention and hormonal therapy in prostate cancer patients, and polyethylene glycol hydrogel spacer use to ameliorate rectal toxicity in prostate radiotherapy. She has presented her research internationally, including at The American Brachytherapy Society Meeting (New Orleans) in 2013, and undertaken an observership at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York (2013). She became a Radiation Oncology Staff Specialist at Wollongong Hospital in 2013, and thereafter returned to St George Hospital as a Radiation Oncologist (2014-present). Dr Beydoun is a member of the America Brachytherapy Society, the Australasian Brachytherapy Group, and The European Society for Therapeutic Radiation Oncology. She joined Genesis Cancer Care in 2015. Her interest sites include genitourinary, breast, gastrointestinal, lung, and gynaecological malignancies.
