Biography
Appointed 1 October 2017, Dr Fiona Wild has almost 20 years’ experience in multinational oil, gas and resources companies, ranging from frontline operational management to corporate strategic development across a variety of countries and businesses. Born in Liverpool, UK, she holds a degree and PhD in Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh. Dr Wild is currently the Vice President, Sustainability and Climate Change of BHP Billiton, leading the design and implementation of BHP’s approach to all sustainability-related issues, including climate change, environment, community and social policy. Dr Wild is a member of the Financial Stability Board’s Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures chaired by Michael Blomberg reporting to the G20. She also holds several Board positions, including as a Director of IETA, CO2CRC and BHP Billiton Sustainable Communities. She is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
