Biography

John’s expertise is in business strategy, planning and execution, business transformation, structural re-alignment, organisational change, and business systems design and development. John’s philosophy with people is that to create high performing collaborative teams requires clear vision and purpose and consistent leadership. As CEO of St Vincent de Paul Society NSW John led the modernisation of the organisation driving the transformation from a distributed local charity to an enterprise corporate structure and supporting business and reporting systems. He managed the strategic move out of aged care and oversaw the sale of the 900 bed aged care business to Catholic Health. He subsequently led the Society to refocus on its 37 homeless services and its registration as a community housing provider. John has been particularly successful in re-aligning and restructuring organisations in response to changing strategic direction and priority. His unique combination of commercial and NFP experience in retail, wholesale, importing, financial services and the community sector qualifies John to offer high quality strategic and tactical guidance as well as business systems expertise and solutions advice. .
