Biography
Mark Peters is an audit and assurance practitioner with over two decades experience. As a former Director of Audit with Victorian Auditor-General’s Department, and with time spent overseas with the United Kingdom’s National Audit Office, his professional career has seen him privy to the rare and invaluable kind of experience that can only be gained through holding senior public sector positions that call upon the highest levels of probity. This invaluable experience has been acknowledged through his appointment as Chair of the Victorian Police Audit Committee, a position that recognises Mark’s commitment and high regard for issues surrounding governance, accountability and transparency. Since joining HLB Mann Judd in 2000, Mark’s already extensive public experience has broadened significantly across the private sector, where he has worked closely with many organisations to carry out customary audit and assurance-related tasks including internal and external audits, and due diligence. He also maintains an extensive range of clients operating in the not-for-profit and charitable sectors.
