Biography
Michael Hutton joined HLB Mann Judd in 1984 and after a number of overseas postings, including time working for an affiliate of HLB in New York, returned to Australia and established HLB Mann Judd’s Self-Managed Super Fund Division in 1996. Later in 1999, he built upon this work to establish the firm’s integrated Personal Wealth Management Division. The Personal Wealth Management Division operates closely with Lonsdale Financial Group (Lonsdale), a leading Australian dealer group supporting a network of over 100 financial planning practices and 250 financial advisers across Australia. Today, the Division manages a substantial amount of funds under advice on behalf of a large private client base, and is one of Lonsdale’s top wealth management practices. Michael is today recognised as a leading practitioner in personal wealth management, with a particularly high level of expertise in the establishment and management of self managed super funds. With a strong personal background in family-owned and operated businesses, he understands well the various issues that are most relevant to individuals seeking to build their net personal wealth, and particularly, the needs of people who are approaching retirement age. A client-focused individual with a sound reputation for building a detailed understanding of clients’ most exacting needs, Michael is regularly sounded out by financial journalists from the country’s leading major daily newspapers (including The Sydney Morning Herald and The Australian Financial Review) and regularly presents to professional superannuation and wealth management seminars.
