Biography
Mr Michael Ledger’s focus is on shoulder and knee surgery. He also specialises in sports injuries. Mr Ledger performs both arthroscopic and open surgery extensively. His specialty interests include arthroscopic management of the rotator cuff and associated conditions, shoulder instability, and knee cruciate ligament reconstruction and meniscal injuries. He is fellowship-trained in surgery for both shoulder and knee arthritis, with an interest in computer navigation. Mr Ledger takes a gentle and thorough approach to patient care, aiming always to maximise patient outcomes. Locally trained and after completing his FRACS in 2008, Mr Ledger travelled to Sydney and undertook a Prince of Wales Hospital Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship and a knee sub-specialty fellowship at the Mater Hospital. Mr Ledger has a keen interest in orthopaedic research and has numerous publications in shoulder and knee peer-reviewed journals. He is also consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Royal Perth Hospital and Joondalup Health Campus.
