In our business there can be a lot of wasted containers if the recycling is not managed appropriately. Imtrade has an intensive recycling program that sees the vast majority of packaging re-used or recycled in an effort to do our part reducing pollution of our environment. We also manufacture & promote the use of high-loading products which use less packaging and help to reduce our environmental footprint. We commenced government-recognised, work-based traineeships in March 2010 and since this time we have trained 5 laboratory personnel and 1 warehouse employee to certificate IV and diploma level in line with the Australian Qualifications Framework. In so doing we have mutually shared in the benefits of appropriately skilling staff, some of which have stayed and continue to contribute to our organisation and build their individual skillsets, while others have moved on to tertiary education in the Sciences, or travel or alternative employment in the mining and resources and other sectors.
