Dr Michael Luke

Biography

 Dr Michael Luke has the primary responsibility for further developing the technology platform and driving the Company’s drug discovery program. Dr Luke is an experienced scientist and also a key developer of the Company’s bispecific technology. He is a foundation scientist joining the Company shortly after its establishment.  Dr, Luke has significant experience and has the primary responsibility for further developing the technology platform. He has 14 years of experience working in senior scientific roles in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. His R&D efforts have led to a number of patent applications and a diverse range of products and technologies, including over 20 skin care products, an oral insulin nanoparticle technology and topical drug delivery technologies. Dr Luke joins Imunexus from GSK, where he was Innovation and Technology Leader for Stiefel (GSK’s dermatology R&D organisation). In this role, Michael oversaw the development of a number of drug delivery vehicles and formulations, including a treatment for hyperhidrosis that has successfully completed a Phase I clinical trial. Michael also led the development of topical drug delivery vehicles for a range of large molecule drugs in GSK’s early pipeline, including oligonucleotide-based drugs, and domain antibodies, in collaboration with GSK’s Biopharm R&D division.
