Biography
Stephen Bailey has worked in the Financial Services industry for 19 years. In that time he has held positions as Credit Analyst and Financial Analyst with BP, ANZ, Esanda Finance and Daimler Chrysler Finance before entering the Financial Planning industry. Having completed studies in Financial Markets in 2000, Stephen commenced employment in an Independent Financial Planning business in 2002, and then commenced studies in Financial Planning. Having completed these studies in 2005, he then started his own Mortgage Broking and Financial planning business, A-Class Finance & Investments Pty Ltd under the Australian Financial Services Licensee, Millennium 3 Financial Services. In 2008 Stephen joined another Licensee, Infocus Securities Pty Ltd. Between November 2008 and July 2013 he built up an established financial planning business and also developed a network of contacts that expanded the business to include capital raising activities such as raising capital for an ASX-listed mining company and two startup businesses in the Medical Technology and Water Treatment industries. In July 2013 Stephen changed licensees from Infocus Securities Pty Ltd to AON Financial Advice Pty Ltd, operating under the business name of Straight Arrow Financial Services Pty Ltd and working in partnership with Surety Financial Group. Over this time Stephen has developed a large network of Retail and High Net Worth clients, and networks of colleagues that help to open doors for capital raising opportunities both within Australia and overseas. Stephen is fully licensed to provide advice in all areas of Financial Planning. He specialises in Self-Managed Super Funds and Investment strategies, including direct property investment as well as protection strategies using insurance and appropriate company and trust structures. He has also gained valuable experience in dealing with directors, legal personnel and overseas parties to facilitate opportunities for companies to partner for growth.
