Biography
Dr. Schechter is the Director of Department of Cornea and External Disease at Florida Eye Microsurgical Institute. Prior, he was co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pediavision, a company dedicated to saving children’s eyesight. He also is a consultant for Gerson Lehrman Group. Dr. Schechter’s clinical focus involves diseases of the ocular surface, including dry eyes, allergies, infection, corneal, refractive and cataract surgery, and glaucoma. He also serves on the Editorial Board for Advanced Ocular Care. Dr. Schechter has reviewed numerous articles for leading ophthalmology journals, lectures worldwide, and consults for various pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Schechter graduated from City University of New York and Brooklyn College, and received a MD from SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
