Biography
Melanie is an experienced operations, communications and governance executive with a strong track record in the planning, management and delivery of strategic corporate projects across industries including life sciences, investment, agriculture, not-for-profit and music industry marketing. Key experience includes as project manager of confidential and complex business activities, including restructure, IPO, M&A and shareholder action; board reporting, board operations and support, financial and compliance reporting, and financial and corporate policy development for an ASX-listed group with US subsidiary; development of group-wide policies for HR, financial systems and control, governance and management reporting; and the successful applications for R&D tax rebates – > $2 million (2012), > $1.4 million (2013), > $1.1 million (2014), and > $2.1 million (2015). Previous roles include with HRH The Prince of Wales’s Office, Global Asset Management, Imperial Cancer Research Fund, and The Prince’s Foundation. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Communication (Public Relations), and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance. She is an Associate of the Governance Institute of Australia and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries (UK). Ms Farris is also appointed Secretary to the Group’s subsidiary, Invion, Inc.
