Biography
Alvino graduated from University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2015. After completing his studies, he pursued a role in the public sector where he worked across Auburn, Westmead and St Joseph's Hospital, treating an extensive array of patients in areas including post cardiothoracic surgery, acute stroke rehabilitation, general musculoskeletal, cystic fibrosis and aged care. Looking for better opportunities and a fresh career change, Alvino looked into the private practice field and realised that this was his true passion. With a strong focus in manual therapy techniques, strength and conditioning, Alvino is experienced in treating a variety of acute sporting injuries, chronic neck and back pain, headaches and migraines, overuse injuries and post operative rehabilitation. He ensures that his treatment sessions are holistic, goal-oriented, exercise focused and tailored to each client. Alvino has a keen interest in the rehabilitation of knees, particularly ACL injuries/ having experienced this himself. He is also passionate in continuously learning and attending courses to further refine and hone his clinical skills and taking part in an educating role, where he has taught several physiotherapy students from USYD, ACU and UWS. During his days off, Alvino enjoys playing the guitar, powerlifting and is also an amateur photographer.
