Biography
Mr. Jason K. Dunning is Non-Executive Director of the Company. Mr. Jason Dunning, joined Nyrstar in October 2014 as its Group Manager – Geology & Exploration responsible for management of all activities at its mines and on its land tenure, Jason Dunning has previously served as Alamos Gold Inc.’s Vice President, Exploration; as Selwyn Resources Ltd.’s Vice President, Exploration; as Yukon Zinc Corporation’s Vice President, Exploration. Jason Dunning has also worked with companies such as Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting Co. Ltd. (a subsidiary of Anglo American PLC), and Pamicon Developments Ltd. His professional career began working on a graduate degree project at Laurentian University for Teck Exploration Ltd. (subsidiary of Teck Resources Ltd.) on the Temagami Copper mine in northern Ontario, the mine that started Teck Resources Ltd. Jason Dunning also likes being on the front lines of industry developments, so he has volunteered his time extensively over the years to groups such as Canadian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy (CIM National Council, Geological Society), Geological Association of Canada (GAC Mineral Deposits Division), Canadian Federation of Earth Sciences, and AMEBC (formerly BC Yukon Chamber of Mines). His volunteer time was recognized by the CIM in early 2014 when he was the recipient of the Julian Boldy Award.
