Biography
Dr Jordan is an NHMRC/MSRA (Betty Cuthbert) research fellow having completed a PhD in Immunogenetics at James Cook University, Townsville under the supervision of Professor Alan Baxter. She has extensive years of experience in Immunogenetics dissecting the genetics of Type 1 Diabetes, SLE, experimental autoimmune gastritis and Multiple Sclerosis. She has been a member of the Australasian Society for Immunology (ASI) since 1998 and the Australsian Genomic Technologies Association (AGTA, formally AMATA) since 2010. She is a Grant Reviewer for National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), Diabetes Australia Research Trust (DART), Dr Jordan is an NHMRC/MSRA (Betty Cuthbert) research fellow having completed a PhD in Immunogenetics at James Cook University, Townsville under the supervision of Professor Alan Baxter. Research Interest
Her current research focus is the identification of multiple sclerosis genes in man using gene expression arrays on sorted white blood cells. She has also utilised genetic linkage analyses and congenic mouse strains for gene expression microarray profiling to identify disease-associated candidate genes in other autoimmune dideases, such as SLE, T1D and autoimmune gastritis.
