Biography
Marc has 29 years professional experience in research & development, process engineering and project execution. He formerly held positions in process and research engineering in the pulp & paper industry, transitioned to Andritz, a globally leading supplier of industrial equipment and technology to the pulp and paper, bioproducts and other industrial sectors, where he served in several roles including manager and director of research and development and subsequently director of process development. Marc's responsibilities also included managing a pilot plant facility providing global support to the pulp and paper and bioproducts industries. He has worked in several capacities on projects across the globe from conception to start-up. His qualifications include Bachelor and Master's degrees in chemical engineering, Ph.D in science (energy reduction mechanisms in thermo-mechanical pulping) and certification as a professional engineer. In 2011 he received one of the highest awards in the Pulp and Paper Industry, the Arne Asplund Award, in recognition of outstanding achievement in the research and development of mechanical pulping field.
