Amy Wu

Biography

 Amy graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) degree. Since then, she has worked in private practice and various private hospitals, specialising in orthopaedic rehabilitation in both the acute and outpatient settings. After spending a few years with patients rehabilitating after surgery, Amy understands the importance of finding and treating the underlying cause for injuries and pain in order to minimise the need for surgical intervention. Her enthusiasm for better health outcomes through exercise prescription has driven Amy to complete the Pilates certification series with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI), becoming a fully certified Pilates instructor in 2017. This has influenced her to develop a strong basis in biomechanical assessment and postural analysis. She has a particular interest in sports injuries and combines manual therapy, dry needling, exercise prescription and hydrotherapy in her treatments.
