Biography
I received my PhD in 1998 from the University of Melbourne. I then undertook postdoctoral training at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York, USA, investigating the role of Wnt signaling in colon cancer progression and the use of gene expression profiling for predicting response of colon cancer cells to chemotherapy. In 2001 I established my independent laboratory at Albert Einstein as Assistant Professor of Medicine, and in 2008 was appointed Associate Professor of Medicine. In 2008 I joined the Ludwig Institute in Melbourne as Head of the Oncogenic Transcription Laboratory. I am currently Professor and Head of the Oncogenic Transcription Laboratory at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute. Our laboratory is supported through grants from the NHMRC, Victorian Cancer Agency and Ludwig Cancer Research.
Research Interest
