Biography
My principal responsibilities as a urological surgeon and urologic oncologist involve the management of patients with urologic malignancies. My translational research interests involve: • Hypoxia and angiogenesis in renal cell carcinoma. • Applications of optical imaging for diagnosis, surgical planning and outcomes of urologic malignancies, particularly prostate cancer. • Clinical trials evaluating small-molecule inhibitors in urologic malignancies. I am also interested in clinical research with a focus on outcomes research. I supervise multiple higher-degree students through the University of Melbourne. I am BJUI Associate Editor of the USANZ Supplement, which is published biannually.
