Timothy Evans

Biography

 Tim is Project Manager at Luinabio and is a member of the senior management team. Tim has six years of innovation commercialization experience from roles at university technology transfer companies, UniQuest (The University of Queensland) and QUT bluebox (Queensland University of Technology). At QUT bluebox and Uniquest, Tim combined his technical expertise and project management skills to facilitate the commercialisation of university research from a broad range of disciplines. Tim has over 15 years of research experience in the disciplines of molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry and cell biology. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours from the School of Biochemistry at UQ, and a PhD in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience (The University of Queensland). After his PhD, Tim was a post-doctoral research scholar at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and was the recipient of the Arthritis Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship. In addition to university research experience, Tim has industry research and development experience from his time at Progen Pharmaceuticals (Brisbane Australia). Tim is also a member of the Australian Institute for Company Directors.
