Katie Palmer

Biography

Katie is the current CFO of Nepean Mining and Transport which is part of the privately owned Nepean Group, located in the Macarthur Area. With over 16 years’ experience in the manufacturing and project management sector, prior to Nepean, Katie worked as Financial Controller of CMI Electrical Products which is a division of CMI Limited. Katie has diverse experience, commercial acumen and proven success in driving growth, leading business transformation in the highly competitive mining and manufacturing sector. Being a strategic business partner in her current role at Nepean and her previous role at CMI, Katie has driven major change both strategically and operationally, and achieved dramatic cost savings while transforming parts of these businesses to fit the current market. Along with improving business process, re-engineering inefficient companies & creating sustainable financial & operational models that were able to be integrated into a shared service environment, Katie is also a Macarthur local and treasurer of the Camden Show.
