Biography
Adam Sikora obtained his Ph.D. from the Polish Academy of Sciences in 1994. Before joining Macquarie University in 2009 he worked at the University of Wroclaw in Poland, New Mexico State University in the USA and the Australian National University. Adam believes that the future of mathematics critically depends on international collaboration. He is proud of his joint projects with mathematicians from China, France, Germany, Netherlands, New Zealand, UK, USA and his native Poland as well as leading Australian experts. His research interests lay in the areas related to propagations of waves and heat. Outside work he enjoys swimming and never refuses skiing, should an opportunity arise.
