Biography
Andrew Burke is an Associate Lecturer at Macquarie Law School. He completed a BSc (Environmental Resource Management) LLB at Macquarie University and a subsequent LLM at the University of Sydney. He is also a PhD candidate, graduating in early 2017, with a thesis that is concerned with proportionality in the sentencing of environmental crimes in the Land and Environment Court of NSW. Andrew is a former Director of EDO NSW, a specialist environmental legal centre. Prior to joining Macquarie Law School, Andrew was a solicitor in private practice specialising in criminal defence.
