Biography
BSc (Macq), MChiro (Macq), MPhil (Macq), (PhD cand.) Aron Downie is a registered chiropractor with experience in teaching spinal manipulative therapy with emphasis on teaching current concepts in psychomotor learning. Aron is also involved in promoting research and research skills via mplementation of research into practice across the program. Before his appointment in 2011 as a Lecturer in Chiropractic, Aron was a chiropractor in private practice for fifteen years and worked within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. He continues in part-time private practice. He completed a Master of Philosophy at Macquarie University and is a PhD candidate at The George Institute for Global Health, University of Sydney, Sydney Medical School.
Research Interest
Diagnostic test accuracy, recovery from back pain, and translational medicine.
