Biography
Dr David Mullan is an associate lecturer and PhD candidate at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. Prior to teaching at Macquarie University, David worked throughout Australia and the Middle East as a corporate lawyer specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions. During this time David represented companies in a number of mergers and acquisitions including the $2.5 billion Petronas / Santos Gladstone LNG project and the $8 billion takeover bid by Lion Nathan for Coca Cola Amatil. During this time David also worked on a number of significant corporate cases including ASIC v Hellicar & Ors (2012) 286 ALR 501. David has taught in areas of corporate law, business law, property law and legal ethics. David's thesis is an empirical examination of the regulation of derivative financial market products which derive their basic value from electricity assets. David's research interests are corporate law, regulation, financial markets law and property law
