Biography
Debbie started her career working in large public sector authorities within the realm of Human Resources. During this time her professional focus was within Learning and Development, where she progressed to senior management levels. These roles were with organisations within the health, higher education, energy and job employment sectors. Debbie has also designed and conducted many different programs for organisations on a consultancy basis ranging from customer service to workplace assessing. Debbie began her teaching career at TAFE in many different areas, teaching units ranging from Human Resources, Management, Hospitality and Real Estate focus. Her academic career commenced at the University of Western Sydney in 1997, during that time she has also taught at Central Queensland, Southern Cross and The Hotel School before starting at Macquarie University in 2005. Debbie Howlett has a Commerce Degree in Personnel Management / Industrial Relations (Double major) and a Masters of Commerce degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Western Sydney. Debbie is currently undertaking a PhD in Onboarding from a change management perspective.
