Biography
Elena Vynogradova received her PhD degree in mathematical and physical sciences in 1996 from the Institute of Radiophysics and Electronics of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. Previously she worked as a research scientist in the Low Temperature Institute, following MSc studies at Kharkov State University, Ukraine. From 1997, she held a Research Fellowship in Applied Mathematics at Dundee University, Scotland, before moving to Macquarie University in 2004. Her interests lie in the rigorous mathematical analysis of fields and waves, especially acoustic and electromagnetic waves, and in its applications such as radar and imaging.
