Biography
Gerry Myerson has degrees from Harvard, Stanford, and Michigan. He taught at the State University of New York at Buffalo, University of British Columbia, University of Texas at Austin, and Southwest Texas State University before joining the Macquarie Mathematics Department in 1987. He has published papers on equations over finite fields, Mahler's measure, Dedekind sums, distribution of sequences, magic squares, and musical scales. He sings in a local choir, and presents programs of folk music on a local radio station.
