Biography
Hui Ling Xu has a BA in English, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, a MA in Applied Linguistics and a PhD in Chinese Linguistics. She has an extensive tertiary teaching experience, including lecturing in the English Department of Beijing University, at the Department of Asian Studies at La Trobe University in Melbourne and currently at the Department of International Studies at MQ as a senior lecturer. Her main research interests include linguistic typology, dialectology, the application of new technology in the teaching of foreign languages, teaching Chinese as a foreign and heritage language, and intercultural language teaching and learning.
