Biography
"Isabelle obtained a PhD from Macquarie University in 2013, looking at outcomes of cochlear implantation in a sound-deprived ear. This research was conducted in collaboration with cochlear implantation centres in Australia, Canada, and Sweden. She is also a clinical Audiologist (Université de Montréal- 2004) and has broad clinical experience including intensive rehabilitation after cochlear implantation, private practice, as well as services for adults experiencing tinnitus. Isabelle's interest for clinical research stems from questions that arise during clinical work. Current research include decision-making in Audiology, the measurement of listening effort, optimising the prediction of cochlear implantation outcomes, and comparing different types of training modalities for adults using cochlear implants. Through her coordination role with the HEARing CRC, Isabelle has developed broad knowledge of the work conducted by the different organisations in the field of hearing healthcare in Australia. She also coordinates the Audiology and Hearing Research Group at Macquarie University. "
