Biography
Mark Johnson is working in the department of Computing at Macquarie University, Australia.
Research Interest
Mark Johnson is a Professor in Language Sciences (CORE) in the Department of Computing at Macquarie University. He is an active member of Macquarie's Centre for Language Technology, and his research focuses on Computational Linguistics, Machine Learning and Probabilistic Models. He's especially interested methods for in learning and using probabilistic models for all aspects of language generation and comprehension. He got his PhD from Stanford University in 1987 and spent a year as a post-doc at MIT before joining the faculty at Brown University, where he became a Professor of Cognitive and Linguistic Sciences and Computer Science.
