Biography
Matthew Bailey is a lecturer in the Department of Modern History at Macquarie University with a research interest in urban, business and retail history. He has published a number of articles and book chapters on retail and retail property history, has worked as a consumer research consultant in the retail property sector, and is writing a monograph on the history of shopping centres in Australia. He is available to supervise projects on a diverse range of business history subjects, social and cultural histories of retailing and consumerism, as well as studies of the built environment and historical actors' engagement with it.
